FAQ

Is GrooviXBox only for advanced users and coders?
No. Once built, GrooviXBox works out of the box as a powerful MIDI controller — you can just map it in your DAW or to your synth. The open firmware is there if you want to go deeper.
Which DAWs does GrooviXBox work with?
Any DAW that supports MIDI: Ableton Live, Bitwig, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Reaper and more — including our own GrooviXBeat.
Do I need to write firmware from scratch?
Not at all. We provide starter firmware, templates and examples. You can tweak existing layouts or build your own when you're ready.
Can I use GrooviXBox without a computer?
Yes — as a standalone MIDI controller for hardware synths, drum machines and other MIDI gear, depending on your final connectivity options.
How are updates delivered?
Firmware updates can be installed over USB using our tools, with clear guides and versioned releases.
